We’ve named our business after the street on which three generations of McDermott’s grew up on. That street was the foundation of community, comfort and family for the McDermott’s, and those are the values reflected in our company services.

Meet Some of the Team

Josh McDermott

Josh grew up surrounded by the construction industry. He spent his summers during high school and college laying sod, tiling floors, framing houses, and managing a small construction services business of his own. After graduating with a Bachelor's degree in Construction Management from the University of North Florida, he spent nearly 15 years in commercial and heavy civil construction, ultimately leading large teams on the most complex projects for the nation's largest bridge builder. He has won awards and accolades from Engineering News- Record, Design Build Institute of America, American Public Works Association, and Roads and Bridges, among others. Josh thrives on managing the moving parts of design, budget, schedule, safety, and quality while building lasting relationships and structures.

Ann McDermott

Ann has spent more than a decade constructing custom residential homes in the Central Florida area and more than five years in heavy civil construction. Hard work and critical thinking were lessons that her father instilled in her at a young age - she wasn't allowed to drive until she could change the tires and oil in her old 1972 International Scout by herself. She carries those lessons with her to this day, and her determination, expertise, and relationships with cities, counties and subcontractors makes her invaluable to your home building experience. Ann keeps track of every detail to ensure your experience is seamless and will keep you smiling along the way.

Rusty McDermott

Mark "Rusty" McDermott is a seasoned residential construction professional with more than 40 years of experience in the homebuilding industry. His career began in the Midwest, where he worked for one of the nation's top-ranked residential contractors, gaining extensive expertise in the construction of single-family homes, multi-family communities, and multi-story residential developments. In 2003, Mark relocated to Florida to establish his own construction company, bringing decades of knowledge, craftsmanship, and leadership to Central Florida. Since then, he has successfully completed hundreds of custom homes throughout the region, earning a reputation for exceptional quality, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering homes that reflect each client's unique vision. His extensive experience and dedication to excellence have made him a trusted builder for homeowners seeking superior craftsmanship and lasting value.

Matthew Richard, P.E.

Matthew Richard, P.E., is a licensed Professional Engineer with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of South Florida. Raised in Central Florida, Matthew developed a passion for construction at an early age by following in his father's footsteps and working alongside experienced tradesmen. His hands-on experience included pouring concrete, laying concrete block, and building a variety of residential and structural projects, providing him with a practical understanding of the construction process from the ground up. These formative experiences sparked a lifelong interest in physics, engineering, and construction, ultimately leading him to pursue a career that combines technical expertise with real-world building knowledge. Today, Matthew leverages his engineering education and field experience to deliver innovative, practical, and high-quality solutions, bringing a unique perspective that bridges sound engineering principles with proven construction practices.
